The entry-level basic door entry systems allow speech between someone wanting to gain access through a controlled door and a person inside the building, who can then admit the caller by pressing a button. These types of entry phone systems are commonplace, however there are other technologies available depending on your exact requirements.

Concierge intercom systems, handset to handset phone intercoms, audio video entry systems, telephone based door entry, wireless door entry systems, and networked door entry systems are all other types of door entry systems.

Whatever the requirement, Seen Security install all types of entrance panels, door entry units, cabling and connectors, leaving you with a quality door entry system that meets your specific security requirements. The following sections describe some of the broad technologies available.

Video entry establishes a visual link as well as an audio link, as per the basic door entry system. This allows the occupant to see the caller to communicate. With high definition video and high quality audio the occupant can be satisfied as to the identification of visitors both day and night prior to allowing entry.

Blocks of apartments or flats and high-end residences may also include a porters’ audio or video intercom system. This type of system provides the intercom link between a porter or concierge and the individual residency as well as to the main entrance or gateway.

Where cabling is difficult or impossible to fit, PSTN (public switched telephone network) or wireless GSM based door entry systems can be utilised and installed. These are a popular option in historic and listed buildings where there may be limited space, planning or conservation and listed by building constraints.

PSTN systems are simple to install that use little more than a telephone line connection to the front door entrance panel; if this is not possible we can install a GSM Wireless system. Please call Seen Security for our further details.

We can install fully programmable IP systems using Cat 6 cabling, letting you link your door entry systems to a much wider computer network and SIP Telephones.

Our door entry units can be integrated with access control systems so that tenants or building users can admit themselves using a fob, access card or advanced fingerprint recognition reader. It provides an added level of security as keys, cards or fobs can be deactivated when a tenant or other person requiring access moves on.

In addition, Seen Security can install easy-to-use touch screen door entry monitors. Our entry panels are also available in a variety of finishes, including polished stainless steel, to fit with the design and style of your location or wall material. Please give us a call for further information on these specifications.
